I'm Sophie Tick and have lived in Bromley for several years. After years of commuting, I decided there was more to life than sitting in an office, looking at the view and wishing I was out there in a park with my dog rather than stuck behind a desk all day.
Presented with an opportunity, I decided to see if it was possible to do more of what I love - spending time outdoors with my faithful hound at my side.
Since I was a small child, animals have been my passion and I've had many pets over the years. That experience includes rabbits (a Dutch and a pedigree French lop-ear), guinea-pigs (rosetted and short hair), hamsters (dwarf and Siberian), several cats, rats (fancy Chinese hooded), parrots (Macaw and Cocatoo), even tropical fish. And dogs of course. So you see, you could go off on holiday with a smile, knowing that your pets will be lovingly cared for whilst you are away.
Over the years, friends' dogs have stayed with me for a week, overnight or a weekend whilst their owners were on holiday, so I have plenty of experience looking after other dogs alongside my own. Your pet will have a spacious, secure garden to explore, and will be looked after as one of the family, just like you do in your home. I can also advise on behaviour and training - a great way to introduce your puppy to the big wide world.
As a reliable, honest and responsible person, your pet will be cared for as I'd expect mine to be.
Hello! I'm Ace, a Parson Russell Terrier (basically a Jack Russell with longer legs). I came to live in Bromley in 2011 after being rescued from death row at The Pound in Ireland.
Thanks to my lovely foster-mum, Jackie at Lea Valley Dog Rescue, I am a very happy little lass who now has a stay-at-home mum to take me for long walks and puts up with my ball obsession.
Because of my facial markings, I was named after Ace Frehley, former lead guitarist in the rock band Kiss. My humans love their rock'n'roll and are big Kiss fans and think that my face looks like I should be Kiss's mascot. I'm not so sure, but if it makes them smile, that's fine by me.
My favourite things are chasing squirrels in Kelsey Park, and playing 'fetch' with my ball. I'm very friendly and get along well with most dogs especially puppies, so I can't wait to meet lots of new doggy pals and show them my favourite walks.
My mum takes me to the Gypton Dog School where I'm learning to do some fun things, not just how to sit and wait! Maybe I can show you my tricks? I really am very lucky to have found my 'forever home'.
I'll come with my mum to meet you and make sure we all get along. See you soon!
